**1. Introduction**
Welcome to The English Grocer (www.englishgrocer.ch). These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from us. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
**2. Ordering and Payment**
2.1. The English Grocer operates as a pre-order business, importing goods from the UK to Switzerland.
2.2. Payment must be made upfront for all orders. Goods will be delivered within 90 days from the payment date.
2.3. A cancellation fee of 25 CHF will be charged on all orders canceled within 30 days of the order payment date.
**3. Delivery**
3.1. Delivery times may vary and are subject to availability. We will make every effort to ensure timely delivery. Please use our delivery calendar function to view our shipments.
3.2. The English Grocer is not responsible for delays due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to customs processes.

3.4. The English Grocer is not liable for delivery damages sent via SwissPost, UPS, DHL or any other courier.
3.5. In the event of your absence during a delivery attempt marked as "failed," we will make a subsequent delivery attempt. The cost of this re-delivery will be either the original delivery charge you paid or up to 10 CHF, whichever amount is higher.
**4. Import Duties and Taxes**
4.1. Effective November 1, 2023, all import duties and taxes will be paid by The English Grocer. The client is not liable for any import duties or taxes.
**5. Returns and Refunds**
5.1. We do not accept returns except in the case of damaged or defective goods. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order if you encounter any issues.
**6. Privacy**
6.1. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website.

9.1. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland.
**10. Refunds**
10.1. Refunds for orders will be automatically processed after 90 days from the payment date.
10.2. Refunds will be issued in the form of store credit, valid for a period of 3 months.
10.3. Store credit may be extended at the discretion of the management upon request.
